Split Airport also known as Resnik is small international airport only has one runway and one terminal so for those meeting someone at split airport it couldn't be simpler. In its summer timetable for 2017, British low-cost airline EasyJet announces reinforcement on its routes to Split. On line Split - Amsterdam, in addition to the current 4 rotations per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays it will be enhanced by an additional fifth rotation a week, every week. In addition, this line will start two weeks earlier than this year (14 April 2017).
Additional reinforcements on the lines between Split and London! The line from Split to Gatwick Airport begins already on 29 March 2017, with 2 rotations per week on Wednesdays and Saturdays, while in high season on this route will be as much as 16 rotations per week.
Line Split - Luton Airport in addition to 4 rotations per week, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays get additional fifth rotation a week every Monday.
The third line from Split to London Stansted airport - in addition to the current three rotations per week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays get additional fifth rotation a week each Sunday.
For the first time in its history Split airport has passed number of 2.000.000 passengers annually. Several airlines such as Aer Lingus, KLM, Norwegian Air Shuttle and Volotea, have already announced the introduction of new flights to Split in 2017 year.
Soon it will start work on a new terminal building. Work on the first phase of the project should be completed in the fall of 2018. The expansion will increase the capacity of the Split airport to 3.5 million passengers annually.
Alitalia introduced new lines from Dubrovnik and Split
Alitalia in its summer timetable for 2017 announces the introduction of two new routes from Rome (Fiumicino Airport - Leonardo da Vinci) to Croatia. The first new line Dubrovnik - Rome will be in circulation 2 times a week, on Tuesdays and Sundays from 23 July to 10 September 2017. Another new line Split - Rome will be also in circulation 2 times a week, on Fridays and Sundays but will take longer, from 7 July to 10 September 2017.
Croatian national air carrier Croatia Airlines (OU / CTN), a member of the global Star Alliance, announced in its summer timetable for 2017 first reinforcements on their existing lines. On the line Split - London (Gatwick Airport) with existing two rotations per week, every Monday and Friday there will be a third rotation a week, every Wednesday.
