Split Airport
In the forthcoming summer season Split will be Jat Airways' new destination!
Jat Airways will be flying from Beograd to Split for the first time since 1991. Operations will resume on 2 July and continue until 27 September, with flights on Mondays and Thursdays. Passengers will be able to buy one-way tickets starting at €79 and return tickets starting at €112.
This year from 12. May to 29. September each Saturday - Adria Airways launches 1 weekly flight to Luela (Sweden). Split to Lulea. Last year Adria Airways has had charter flights from Kristiansand to Split, but this year there is no indication on the renewal of these flights.
Croatia Airlines will fly from 12. May 16th June and from 25. August to 29. September every Saturday from Split to Ornskoldsvik Sweden.
Czech low-cost carrier SmartWings will link every Wednesday Ostrava (Czech) with Split. Will operate from 13. June to 5th September.
Cimber Sterling Danish carrier from Sonderborg, will connect Split and Copenhagen in the period of 26 June to 10 August twice a week.
Dutch Transavia Airlines, low cost carrier will connect Split with the airport Orly every Friday, from 13 July to 28 September.
From May this year German airline "Germania" will establish a regular line between Bremen and Split every Wednesday from 23. May.
Swiss regional airline SkyWork Airlines has announced its first regular flight to Croatia. From 5. May 2012th will fly once a week, every Saturday, between Split and Bern.
Split Airport maintains a direct line with 75 European cities from 21 countries and this year that number increased by 10 new destinations. This year, the biggest increase is in the number of aircraft from Russia.
With fifty classic airlines Split Airport will connect with the world and 11 low-cost carriers on scheduled and charter flights.
Open Skies Agreement signed between Croatia and the United States hopefully will result in direct flights between the two countries.
Goal is to bring 650,000 tourists to Croatia by air, a quarter more than last year.
On Tuesday 27.January 2011, 94 contracts worth € 8 million were signed at Split's airport joining public and private tourism sector funds for promotional activities aimed at attracting more air tourists to Croatia. The contracts are part of the 2011 Croatian Tourism Action Plan and were signed by the director of the Croatian National Tourism Board and representatives of county tourism boards, tour operators and private travel agencies.
This year (2010) Split will be linked to 74 destinations. Direct air links of which 12 new destinations: Basel, Hannover, Lille, London - Stansted, Manchester, Milan, Paris, Rome, Ornskoldsvik, Aalesund, Norrkoping.
EasyJet will this year have six new destinations (Basel, Berlin, London - Stansted, Milan, Paris, Rome) and Norwegian Air Shuttle will increase the number of landings by as much as 80%!

Split Airport also known as Resnik is small international airport only has one runway and one terminal so for those meeting someone at split airport it couldn't be simpler.
The airport has full range of services available including a selection of Split Airport Buses and just outside the arrivals hall you will find a queue for the Split Airport Taxis. This queue can get pretty long during the peak travel times and it may be advisable to pre book private Split Airport Transfers which are less hassle and cheaper.
